WHAT TO EXPECT

It's normal to be a little apprehensive about attending a new church. However, chances are you'll feel right at home at Mound Chapel. That's because we go out of our way to treat you like family.

Feel free to wear anything from jeans and a t-shirt to a suit and tie, because chances are you will see both when you come. We'll greet you at the door and try our best to make sure you never feel lost or out of place.

Our worship music is fairly traditional, but we do incorporate a blend of updated traditional and contemporary music from time to time. Most importantly, you'll hear solid Biblical teaching along with practical ways
you can apply God's Word in your life every day of the week.

For your convenience we have Children's Church and a caring Nursery available during the regular worship service. However, we certainly invite you to bring your children to worship with you if you prefer!

We have a time of devotional and Bible Study beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Our Sunday service begins at 10:15 a.m. and usually lasts about one hour.

How We Got the Bible
Wednesdays Feb 11 - Apr 1  6:00p - 7:00p

How did we get the Bible we hold in our hands? How accurate is it in regards to the original authors’ writings? What process was used to get it into its present day form? Can the Bible stand up against the methods of today’s researchers, archaeologists, and historians? Join for this 8-week class discover the answers behind these questions and many more. We guarantee you will be challenged and surprised. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend!

There is a $10 fee to cover the cost of the materials.

Baptism Sunday and Palm Sunday
March 29th, 10:15a service

Baptism is the outward expression of an inward faith and trust in Jesus Christ. What better way to celebrate Palm Sunday than by professing your faith before others! If you have come to know Christ on a personal basis, we would be honored to help you take the next step on your journey of faith.

Maundy Thursday Service
April 2nd, 7:00p service

Maundy Thursday , while one of the lesser observed Holy Days, is significant in that it provides us with a vivid image of what Jesus expects us to do after He departs from this earth.

In this special service you will discover two very important and practical ways to improve your life and the lives of those around you. Join us at 7:00p to experience the impact the simplest of acts can have in our world.

Easter Sunday
April 5th, 10:15a service

Ever think you're about to get a real treat but find out there's nothing inside the package? That can be really disappointing. But sometimes what's NOT inside can be the greatest gift. Come hear why having an empty space in your life can be the most prized possession of all!

Please join us for breakfast starting at 8:30a.   Our Venturing Crew will be cooking and serving a full pancake and sausage breakfast for you!  There is no charge for the breakfast, but we will have a donation basket, with all donations going to help fund projects of the Venturing Crew.

Food on the Fourth: March 22nd

Every fourth Sunday of the month we encourage you to bring nonperishable food to share with those in need. Items such as canned vegetables, canned fruit, boxed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, meal helpers, and cereals are always in demand.

All food collected will be taken to "God's Shelter of Love."
